On Saturday, October 3, 2026, automotive enthusiasts, civic volunteers, and local families gathered across southern Wake County for the annual charity car show organized in support of Garner Local Heroes. Coordinated in collaboration with regional automotive organizations, including the Heart of Carolina Mustang Club, the community exhibition raises crucial financial support and public awareness for frontline emergency personnel serving the Town of Garner.
Coinciding with the autumn festival season, the event honors emergency responders from the Garner Police Department, Garner Fire-Rescue, Wake County EMS, and the State Highway Patrol. Proceeds from vehicle registrations, silent auctions, and civic sponsorships directly fund hardship assistance for injured first responders, supplemental training equipment, and educational scholarships for first responder families administered through the non-profit Garner Local Heroes program.
Community leaders and emergency service chiefs praised the annual initiative for strengthening the enduring bond between Garner residents and frontline emergency personnel. By mobilizing hundreds of automotive hobbyists and local business sponsors, the benefit show reflects southern Wake County’s deep appreciation for emergency workers, complementing town public safety traditions and fostering lasting community solidarity.
